As of 19th December, the government rules have changed. A Christmas bubble can now only form on Christmas day, and travel restrictions will only be relaxed on Christmas Day – however the government advises everyone to ‘stay local’ and avoid travelling. You must continue to follow the restrictions in place under the tiered system at all times outside of this single day.

We understand you will have questions regarding what you can and can’t do during this time, so please find information on each individual park below. The following information is adapted from the governments previous advice on Christmas bubbles applies to all our parks that are open over this period:

On 25 December, you may choose to form a Christmas bubble.

A Christmas bubble will be able to spend the day together in private homes, including second homes and caravans, to attend places of worship, or meet in a public outdoor place.

If you do form a Christmas bubble, you should not meet socially with friends and family you do not live with in your home or garden unless they are part of your Christmas bubble.

In all other settings, people should follow local restrictions in the tier in which they are meeting.

If you do not form a Christmas bubble, you should continue to follow the guidance for the tier you are in.

You can find out more information on:

Restrictions over Christmas here >

On 26th December, the country will return to a tiered system as before. You should then follow the rules set out by the government according to the tier you are in. Should further reviews be made to the tiering system which affects our parks while they remain open, we will update our website.

Goosewood Holiday Park – Tier 2

Private holiday home owners and seasonal tourers from Tier 2 can continue to use the park as a single household (including a support bubble). You may form a Christmas bubble on the park on Christmas Day only. If you do form a support bubble, only the owners of the holiday home can stay overnight as the travel relaxation only applies for those joining the bubble on Christmas Day.

For those in a Tier 3 area, you should not travel as per the current Tier 3 advice and more recent ‘stay local’ update. You may form a Christmas bubble on the park on Christmas Day only. Nobody should stay overnight at the holiday home.

For those in the new Tier 4, you must not travel and cannot form a Christmas bubble under any circumstances.

Holiday makers who are in Tier 2 can continue to holiday with us as a single household (including a support bubble) subject to the current restrictions.

Unfortunately, bookings with multiple households booked in for the previous Christmas bubble period will not be able to go ahead regardless of which tier you are from. You should contact us on on 01723 584311 or via info@flowerofmay.com. We will be happy to issue you with a full refund or re-arrange your dates for a more suitable time.
